Kayaking here in Newfoundland is a great treat as well. Beautiful coastline and many nice little ponds to explore.

    I don't actually kayak myself @buckydurddle but my partner is an avid fan. He tends to kayak surf here all year round and then go the Scotland every summr for a bit of sea paddling.
