Personal spiritual search: To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness

The authorship of Ecclesiastes is attributed to a wise man, very probably this teacher was Solomon, to whom God gave enormous wisdom and understanding in Gabaon to rule his kingdom, as the author of the book expresses at the beginning of his writings: "I the Teacher, was king over Israel in Jerusalem. I applied my mind to study and to explore by wisdom all that is done under the heavens" Ecclesiastes 1:12-13.
Then the sage continues and explains the object of his studies: "Then I applied myself to the understanding of wisdom, and also of madness and folly" Ecclesiastes 1:17. And this is so because the goal of all spiritual search is the truth that lies in the wisdom.
But then the sage asks himself a question that the common man also asks: "What then do I gain by being wise?" Ecclesiastes 2:15. And the answer to this statement is that wisdom is everything, the universe is the product of the creativity of wisdom.
Beyond any question, wisdom has a profound practical meaning. Wisdom participates in both science and intelligence, it is a science because with it we learn to be assertive, and it is intelligence because we say wise to those who teach with wisdom. Wisdom is the science that determines long-term success and failure, because without it, neither people nor nations have a guide. Those who live wisely have constancy in their goals, precision and accuracy in their decisions, and progressiveness in achieving their vision.
The wise Kohelet also tells us that wisdom along with happiness are gifts that God grants to those who are in a genuine spiritual search: "To the person who pleases him, God gives wisdom, knowledge and happiness" Ecclesiastes 2:26.
It is true as the wise man says that in the end we all have the same destiny: "Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other" Ecclesiastes 3:19.
But it is also true that while we live we have an obligation as creatures of God: to increase the gifts, increase the order and perfection of the universe; and this is the meaning of all the spiritual life in man.
