It has created a technology that will save you time when accessing the pages you use every day.
If someone uses the Internet, they use Google. We spend all day looking for new products, the latest in fashion, the series that is setting trends, news... And I'm sure that, throughout all these years using the computer, you've created a virtual routine by regularly visiting a series of reference websites, which consultations constantly at certain times in particular. Now Google wants to study in detail how you behave to get ahead of what you need at a particular time.
This kind of technology may not sound new to you: it really is not. Google has been learning from you since its early years. But this new system you want to add to your way of working involves including other parameters, such as cursor movement in the computer, the habits of the words you are looking for, your history, context and content clues... All this, applied to an algorithm, will result in a probability that you will click on some links and not others. This may mean that without having not even moved the cursor over a link at all, Google would already be preloading that website.
Although Internet speed has improved considerably over time, for Google those few seconds in which information is requested, the server searches for it, the user accesses that information and finally ends up opening on the computer, are paramount. That time is considered valuable for the platform, and it's the one you want to win with the new technology that will try to move forward in the near future. We'll see how it fits the requirements of its users and whether it really fulfills what it promises.
A new way for Google to spy on you...
