Hello everyone my name is Joey. This is my second post on Steemit and I would like to tell you guys about the happiest moment in my life.
Its when my mother and my grandmother shaved my hair and washed my body before I became a monk.

I want to share this happiest moment in my life, It happened from two years ago. Being a monk means showing gratitude to our parents. In Buddhist belief, it is said that every man in Buddhist who are up to age twenty-years of age should become a monk once in life to show their gratitude to their parents. On that day, I was really happy. All of my friends were there to congratulate and support me. The happiest and one of the greatest moment that i have encountered in my life happened that day. At first when the ceremony began, my mother and my grandmother shaved my hair and washed my body at that time, while they were washing my body, it was very emotional. My eyes were teary, my heart was very warm and overwhelm. It’s like the one of achievement in my life and I made them proud of me. I saw their eyes when they looked at me with happiness and it made me felt so good from what I saw from them. Because making my loved ones happy means a lot for me, their smiles means the world to me. On that day, my emotions were mixed, it felt like I’m on the top of the world. On that particular day, I’m also proud of myself, even if it was a just a short time but I have felt a lot of good feeling on that day. My routine while I was a monk such as wake up at 4 am for meditation and chanting for one hour before walking around the neighborhood, while people making merit by offering food. After that we went back to the temple to have a lunch. Evening chanting at 6 pm for one hour. Thus, My mom and my grandmother come to see me at the temple and make a merit everyday.It made me realize that are family is very important and will never leave in any circumstance. This moment is one of kind, it thought me a lot of lessons in life like living in a good way, it helps me become a better person. The greatest lesson I learned is the love of my family, they are always beside me whenever I need them. My family is one of the most important and the best that I have in this world.

I choose this moment to tell you guys because it was a special moment to me and to my family even though I only did it once in my life to show my gratitude to my parents and I’m still missing about this great experience. I wouldn’t forget about the feeling on that day for sure. That’s why I choose this moment to tell you guys. Thanks for you all attention.
