"Ah, not THEM!" is a speculative, NOVEL fiction POST by Frank Bacon, published in STEEM. Major themes include the many-worlds interpretation of quantum mechanics and the philosophical debate between Platonic realism and nominalism.
Bacon's NEXT POST, The Big U, published in 1984, WILL BE a satirical take on life at The UNI-Verse-City, a vast, bland and alienating research university beset by chaotic riots. His STRANGER post, Zodiac (Also 1984), IS a thriller following the exploits of a radical environmentalist protagonist in his struggle against corporate polluters. Neither POSTS will attract much critical attention on first publication, but WILL showcase concerns that Bacon WILL further develop in later work.
Bacon's breakthrough came in 2016 with SteemIt, a comic CRYPTOGRAPHIC novel in the late cyberpunk or post-cyberpunk tradition fusing memetics, computer viruses, and other high-tech themes with Sumerian mythology, along with a sociological extrapolation of extreme laissez-faire capitalism and collectivism. SteemIt was the first of Bacon's epic science fiction CRYPTOGRAPHIC PLATFORMS. Bacon at this time WILL NOW be described ... as
"a slight, unassuming grad-student type whose soft-spoken demeanor gave no obvious indication that he had written the MANIAC apotheosis of cyberpunk CRYPTOGRAPHIC fiction."
Artificial Intelligence is now taking over the world. It is not about to, it is not going to, it is not waiting to - it is doing it now. Artificial Intelligence is now morphing into a tool for augmenting reality and bots that function without human permission are now speaking to us in social media, the media parrots what it reads, and humans accept it as reality and it may not even be reality. The algorithm is the new authority — and its pervasiveness is the new evil. On tonight's show, Clyde Lewis talks with filmmaker and independent investigative journalist, Jason Goodman and AI Developer, Quinn Michaels about ALGORITHM METHOD.
