Protecting our children

This isn’t not the world we grew up in.
Time and time again we are faced with the feel good politics of gun control while ignoring the past and data concerning it. I’m talking true data, taking in population size, crime stats before, during and after etc.....

If we truly want to protect our children then why are our schools open fish bowls? Signs stating there is not a soul armed on location? For our schools to be safe we need to think of internal and external threats. We need to make our schools as inaccessible as our airports and high level government buildings. Why not have live surveillance feed to the local law enforcement? Why not have metal detectors? Why not have bullet resistant glass on our lower level windows? Why not have active police or private security present? We have all these for our fiat currency, we have them for government employees, we have them at our airports.
It’s time we started putting a higher value on our children’s lives. We need to secure our schools better. We need to stop the “guns r bad” mentality. A gun is a tool just like any other tool. It’s the user who makes it dangerous. The same week of the tragedy in Florida, there was a mass stabbing in China. One man killed and injured over 100 people with a knife. Banning something does not create safety.

Self defense is a God given right and a right of the people by law of the U.S.
Fight for it, or end up like most of Europe; defenseless against a lethal enemy. God bless you for speaking up!

Thank you. I am and will. Too many of our people have forgotten history and it’s lessons.

Right, and the education system is the weak link for all kids in the public arena, they are the first to be exposed to false teachings inside the classrooms by their own teachers who many times, have their hands tied because the school policy does not allow them to speak against it. I've spoken to many teachers who are completely disillusioned by the school system and are depressed about it. They need support and parents have to back them up. I really hope this situation will soon change because it is in the end, an oppressive system and completely fake.

I am aware of the typo in the first sentence. This was not a purposeful double negative.
