People have been gaining knowledge since time immemorial. It is unbelievable what all came together, comes together and will still come together. I think we are still far from having reached a knowledge level of one percent. Cause this to think gives me, for example, the so-called "Fiji mermaid". It is a skeleton, which was bought in the late nineteenth century. The story says that this wonderful creature was "caught" by fishermen off the coast of Fiji.
Of course, it is not one hundred percent confirmed whether this is really a mixture of monkey and fish, but many Japanese sailors bought a large set of detailed descriptions and sketches of this skeleton, as the original has strangely disappeared. To date, nothing has been proven against it and it definitely leaves room for exciting theories!
If it is not true, one of the explanations would have to be that they allowed the Japanese at that time a joke. But the reports about this skeleton are so detailed and accurate that many scientists believe that there is something to it.
Did a mermaid actually exist?
