A hardware wallet that fits in your sim card slot? Awesome!
U.S.-based startup VaultTel has launched a tiny cryptocurrency hardware wallet that sits in the SIM tray on mobile phones.

The Intellichip uses the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) 512 to securely store data and also has optional features such as being able to restrict wallet access to a particular device and “geolock,” which constrains access to a particular geographic area.
It's advances like this that will make people feel a lot better about jumping into the cryptosphere. Let's face it, cryptocurrency can be stressful. Just the other day I thought I had lost $150 because I sent some money to the wrong address. Once again, turns out the time it took to transfer was too lengthy for comfort.
This is yet another reason people will eventually discover Steem. Free 3 second transfers with account recovery and readable public addresses. A lot of people will be doing anything they can to escape that feeling of existential dread that comes when you think you might have fucked up and lost all the money you just tried to transfer.
Remember when you had to do a bank transfer by check through the mail? Then, after getting the piece of paper you had to wait for the banks to transfer funds around. With you calling every day to see if the funds have cleared yet.
I like this little thing, however, the nano and such have a screen and buttons separate from the computer to allow input. And those are important... but not undefeatable.

I still remember the BTC transactions back in at the ATH taking 1 whole day to be completed, the waiting nearly killed me of stress, was almost as stressful as sending money to coinbase that took 3 days to arrive... at least with BTC I could check the transaction in the blockchain (number of confirmations), with a bank transfer there was no way to know if I had sent the money to the right place and no way to know if the transaction was confirmed or not.

Personally, I prefer a separate screen as well. Anything directly connected to the internet can lie to you about where that transaction is actually going.

This is pretty cool but I’d be afraid I would break the thing. At least the ledgr is a decent size. Then again solid, copper lined cases would be a good piece of equipment to go with this....brb gonna go make one up.
