Facebook is notifying people who’s information was exposed through their social platform. Additionally, they have a page to explain what data of yours specifically, was likely harvested.
The Facebook developed tool informs users if they or their friends had their data accessed by Cambridge Analytica. Follow these steps:
- Log into your Facebook account. The tool requires you to be logged-in to your Facebook profile
- Open the following Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/help/1873665312923476
(it is an official Facebook link, not a third-party link) - Now you will see “Was My Information Shared?” section under which Facebook will confirm if your data was accessed by Cambridge Analytica
its a good thing i do not have facebook! one less thing to worry about :)
