A group of activists have launched several copies of the popular torrent tracker Kickass Torrents, closed after the arrest of its alleged founder Artem Vaulin July 20. About it writes The Verge.

In the letter, obtained by The Verge from the authors of the project said that the site "placed on multiple cloud servers to prevent it from locking, and information about hosting well hidden behind Cloudflare". The authors of the "mirror" noted that gradually the website will be copied the whole database Kickass Torrents, including user profiles and their comments.
According to the creators of the copy, unlike the original site, it has a search box and mobile version. The website kat.am is unstable. Periodically attempts to open it end with the error notification.

On the main pages of both sites posted links to the petition demanding the release of Vaulina on Change.org (4.5 thousand signatures) and on the White house website (855 signatures).
