Try listening to more instrumental music as it can have a positive impact on Attention, focus and memory.

If your goal is to improve your memory you should eat brain-enhancing foods like avocado, cold-water fish and fresh berries.

Never stop learning, such as a new skill, as this ensures that your neural connections stay active.

Ever written a fiction story, a poem or a song? Using pen and paper will give your brain and memory a boost.

Make sure you pay attention. If your brain fails to process something you cannot remember it.

Playing brain games will keep your mind and memory fit.

Creative activities such as painting, knitting and woodworking are great exercises for the brain.

Getting at least 7 hours sleep each night will give your mind a rest and a chance to process the day's activities.

Studies have suggested that even just 2% dehydration can affect your memory and other cognitive skills, so keep hydrated.

Regular exercise to improve blood flow can help your memory stays healthy and strong.

Focus on whatever you are trying to remember for at least 8 seconds. Studies have shown that is how long it takes to move facts from short-term memory to long-term memory.

Reading is a great memory booster because it keeps you intellectually engaged.

Try playing board games that require you to move a game piece and count the spaces.

Learning a new language can sharpen your memory skills.

Learn your favorite song in a different language. You already know the tune and your brain will help you to "translate" it.

Playing "Concentration" can help with memory skills. Play as usual but look at each face-up card for at least 8 seconds.

Playing "Connect Four" and other strategy-based games can strengthen your logic and memory skills when you survey the board carefully and count.

These are great tips. Being active daily on steemit helps with reading and writing everyday. I had no idea simply focusing on something for 8 second can help store it in long term memory. I have a terrible memory. I appreciate this post.
