Founded in 2013, Cyanogen has two goals: to maintain the distribution of the open-source Android operating system CaynogenMod and to develop Cyanogen OS based on it to make it available to phone manufacturers as an alternative to Google services.

However, the company's CEO, Kurt McMaster, said they were continuing to develop an operating system that would be the death of Google services on Android phones, but the operating system was only available to some limited manufacturers in India.

At the beginning of 2016 rumors spread that the company would abandon many of its employees and shift its focus to application development. Months later, in November, the company's office in Seattle, Washington, was shut down as the end of the company in the public eye.

The company returned to life quickly in February 2017 for the month of September under the name Andrasta, according to a screech of McMaster removed later. At some stage until September, it was confirmed that the company is now named Syanogen, working on self-machines, and he is the CEO instead of his post as director of operations after McMaster's departure.

The report said last September that the company had obtained a license to test self-driving vehicles in California and that the company was working on self-propelled lorries and excavators alongside other construction machines and was relying on the ROS programming framework for software development. A document from the same source said the company was looking for $ 200 million in funding and would not mind buying it from an investor.

This was the story of a company turned from the development of Android to the manufacture of construction machinery and seems to be heading to its inevitable end soon.
