This is my story.

I was a sad, sick little girl, sleep walking until the age of 23, suffering from Body Dysmorphic Disorder for twelve of those latter years.

Imagine being in a cave, for twelve years of your life, with nothing but a monitor to live vicariously through. This is what it's like to live with BDD.

It was a shitty 12 years of my existence , I'm not going to sugar coat it, but it did helped me wake the f-up. And I wouldn't change a moment of it.

One day, I remember it so vividly, I was leaning over the toilet, with a toothbrush lodged down the back of my throat, when I realized...I don't want to be this person anymore.

The moment I made that conscious agreement with myself, everything changed.

Some may say that it was divine intervention, or the will of the universe, whatever you want to call it, my life changed for the better.

Yoga did play a critical role. This particular ingredient acted as a catalyst that seemed to propel me down this new path of deprogramming, truth and awakening.

Fast forward 8 years, and I find myself living a life that I never thought possible.

No student debt.
No car debt.
No mortgage.
No consumer debt.

Yes, I graduated with an HBA. And college diploma.

Yes, I do own a car.

Yes, I do own a single detached house on a large lot.

Yes, I have things in that house.

How am I not swimming in debt?

Besides playing nicky-knocky-nine-door with death, which changed my outlook on life, I have lived by my Nonna's wise words, "it's not what you make, it's what you save."

The long and the short of it is, do what you can to reduce your monthly expenses.

After taking advantage of real estate gains, Earthship inspired technologies is our next move.

My goal?

To wear my scars proudly and be the change that I wish to see in the world.
