OUR LOVE FOR COMFORT
We as humans love to be comfortable. We fear the outskirts of our comfort zone, and we admire our compatibility with others - even if we have not made the subconscious agreement. This realization is unsettling as many of us do not discern that with discomfort comes growth.
There is much to blame for our needy state of comfortability. The paradigm that society has placed upon us, using our parents as a tool, has in fact been the main contributor.
OUR BRAINS ARE SERVANTS TO SOCIETY
Children are fragile. Their brains are extremely delicate and absorbent; they are new to the environment and new to the world around them. They do not possess much knowledge, but they are gifted with such a gift that is powerful, unique, differentiating from other beings on this planet.
They are gifted with a mind that is new. New from rules, new from laws, and new from the world's crippling criticism.
Yet their gift is taken away from them immediately.
They are instead taken into the imaginative 'Book of Law' through which society has created a set of norms for us to follow. We are taught that our imagination, our spells, and our dreams are weird.
We're never allowed to express ourselves due to the outright decisions that society has placed upon us so doubtlessly.
Perhaps, that is one of the greater tests of life. Or perhaps it's a limitation that has been set upon us due to Society's Laws. Nonetheless, many of us continue to live the life we live because we are so comfortable with being comfortable.
Our only limitations are those that we place upon ourselves.
A LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS
Life does not posses any limitations. There are circumstances in which many tasks may seem unrealistic. What is really unrealistic is that we can go into a room and magically lighten it up by simply flipping a switch. Luckily, Edison and Tesla did not believe in limitations.
The idea of being unrealistic is an allusive limiting factor that has been placed among the greater masses of humanity from birth. Fortunately for us, we have historical mentors who have displayed their deviance shamelessly, otherwise everything in society would be unrealistic and we would lack the development we have acquired today.
All of this starts with you. You have to make the conscious decision to notice your comfortability. Notice when you feel uncomfortable. Understand that with discomfort, brings growth. Master this attribute and you will gain the most optimal knowledge with every sense of the word.
UNCERTAINTY: AN OMEN OF KNOWLEDGE
Discomfort and uncertainty are twins.
It is with uncertainty that Bill Gates took his leap of faith in order to craft one of the greatest software companies in the history of the world.
It is with great uncertainty that deaf and blind, Helen Keller fought for her purpose as a women's suffrage activist, let alone discomfort.
You can read as many books, or take as many lessons on the niche in which you wish to understand, but nothing will bring you more knowledge than putting yourself in a state of discomfort. Never be afraid to be uncomfortable, because that is where we learn the greatest of lessons.
When you are comfortable, you lack a sense of purpose, and our purpose, why, that is the reason we are here.
