Went berry picking

in selfsustaining •  6 years ago  (edited)

We went on a Saturday the 28th of July 2018. We got a mix of blue, crow, and salmon berries.

I actually forgot my phone in the van when we went picking. But I can show you how many we got. 😝

This is how much we got in total for the day

We walked about three miles around a lake, it took about four hours.

I plan on turning these into a mix berry jam.

Sorry I didn’t post it right away, my Endo caused me a lot of pain after walking and being on my feet for so long. It made my belly swell. So as soon as we got home it was veg mode. I took extra RSO, but it didn’t faze it.
Since I have been more active so has my Endo. Docs say being active is better for Endo. Yeah I beg to differ.

I will post about today’s AMAZING harvest of berries tomorrow. It’s 0145 here.

YES THESE ARE ALL MY ORIGINAL PHOTOS

That's a great #foraging hoard of berries! It's always great to get food for free! I personally think that we are intinsically designed to eat with the seasons, so we should be rolling with natures bounty...
Nice n colourful too.

Free food is the best, eating with the seasons is awesome! It’s how it should be 😊
It really was a pretty mix

That's a pretty good berry harvest!

Thanks, yeah it wasn’t to bad.
