Well on my last blog I said that I don't like education because it judges every student by how good they are at memorizing instead of real skills and all.
Well I have seen that students who get good marks or have better GPA are the ones who are good at memorizing . It's not about all cases but in my school I have seen that. Ok so let's put that aside and think for a second that we are getting proper education and every thing is fine but does our GPA still refers our SELF-WORTH?
Well we are not good at everything or every subject. So it is clear that we can not get A+ at every subject. Most of us who get good grades are totally into studies and by that I mean just studies. The topper in our class just studies all day long and doesn't do extra curricular activities. He doesn't play, swim or anything like that. He has zero experience other than the text book. But on the other hand the average students do everything. They get to experience something. So when the real life hits the average are doing better than the topper. Why? ... well it is because in real life they don't ask what is a²+b²=?
That doesn't matter though. Toppers can get a great job by their certificates (which our education is forcing us to get)
It doesn't matter if your GPA is 1.02 or 5.00. At the end of the day for work what it matters is how skill full you are. But there is a problem and that is you can't get good job without good grades and certificates.
So does that mean our self worth is based on our GPA?
Practically yes. But the answer is also no
Thomas Edison
As a young boy, Thomas Edison's teachers told him he was "too stupid to learn anything." He did not have much more success in the workplace, as he was fired from his first two jobs for not being productive. Even as an inventor, reports claim that Edison made 1,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. Happily for night owls across the globe, attempt 1,001 worked out differently.
Steven Spielberg
Due to poor grades in high school, Steven Spielberg was rejected from the University of Southern California three times. He was awarded an honorary degree in 1994 and became a trustee of the university in 1996. "Since 1980, I've been trying to be associated with this school," joked the 62-year-old filmmaker. "I eventually had to buy my way in," he told the Los Angeles Times. Spielberg has to date directed 51 films and won three Oscars. Forbes Magazine puts Spielberg's wealth at $3 billion.
Do you get what I wanted you to get ?
Yes. They didn't had good grades and they were told that they are stupid but still they are successful. Does it mean that their self worth was based on their GPA and grades obviously hell no.
So it is clear that our GPA/Grades don't refer our self worth. It is our skill and work which defines our self worth.
But that doesn't mean we shouldn't study. We should study and try to get good grades and do other stuffs as well. Mostly we should do what we want to do.

even though there are a lot of posts regarding this matter the education system is still not improving maybe we can just spread the awareness and can't bring change
