What they need to do is, move #semiconductor chip and processor making industries from Taiwan to various places and countries around the world. Yes, that'd hit taiwan economy but it'll #secure the semiconductor supply line. Time to ditch "specialized countries supply chain" tactics like germany makes cars, america makes apps, vietnam makes headphones etc. and go back to old ways of "little bit of everything in every country". TSMC can lead with foxconn, mediatek and others. But should open factories worldwide. So this chip shortage situation doesn't happen in future. Decentralisation is future in tech. China invading taiwan is drastic but at the end of the day you can't trust china.
