For the last several months, I've been using an SEO tool called WebTextTool for optimizing my existing blog posts for long-tail keywords as well as keywords with high competition.
But before I unveil the review and walkthrough, here's a short story of how I stumbled upon this tool and how it helped me improve my rankings for a difficult set of keywords with tough competition.
When I signed up for AppSumo Briefcase in late 2017, WebTextTool was one among the 35+ tools that were initially offered by AppSumo in the Briefcase suite. At the time, I didn't think much of the tool and found many of its functionalities to be quite similar to the Yoast SEO WordPress plugin. Not to mention, the interface looked clunky and cluttered — so I really didn't think I'd spend much time with it.
Long story short, I was wrong. While many of its features and functionalities may be similar to any run-of-the-mill WordPress SEO plugin, I'd be doing a massive discredit to WebTextTool if I included it in the same category as tools such as Yoast, All-in-one SEO Pack, and Squirrly SEO.
What's So Different About WebTextTool?
Don't get me wrong! I'm not trying to critisize any of these plugins. They all do a stellar job, especially Yoast which I've been using for several years. But WebTextTool goes beyond what a typical WordPress SEO plugin offers and helps you create top-notch SEO content that's optimized in every way possible.
Here's the key differentiator between WebTextTool and an SEO tool like Yoast - WebTextTool is supported by machine learning and real-world analysis of data from 30,000+ anonymous users. Only the best performing outcomes make their way into the ever-improving WebTextTool suggestion engine, so the optimization tips are always in sync with the evolving algorithm updates from Google.
This means WebTextTool's SEO suggestions can help you rank better in search engines and boost your content like no other SEO plugin can.
WebTextTool's SEO suggestions and content optimization tips can not just help you keyword-optimize your posts, but they can also help you improve your content's readability and text credibility. Not to mention, you can track progress once you've optimized your posts to see if your changes are working in improving your rankings.
From Obscurity to Google Top 3: A 70% Increase in Organic Traffic
To better illustrate the benefits of using WebTextTool, let me provide you with an example of a blog post which I optimized as per SEO and content recommendations provided by WebTextTool. Here's the blog post: Local SEO Tools: 9 Best Tools to Improve Your Local Search Rankings.
When I started optimizing this blog post, it was ranking somewhere between position 50 - 60 in Google SERPs for the high-competition keywords "local seo tools". In other words, it was lost in the depths of search engine obscurity. There was stiff competition for these keywords because all the top spots were occupied by actual local SEO tools like Moz, BrightLocal, etc.
Needless to say, it wasn't going to be easy to outrank my competitors for these keywords.
Once I started optimizing the post by following the suggestions by WebTextTool, I noticed it gradually rise up the search rankings to land in page 1 of Google SERPs just within a few weeks. Some of the optimization I did included things like adding LSI keywords, reducing the number of adjectives to improve its credibility, reducing the number of passive sentences, and so on. Eventually, I ensured both the SEO and content score were above 90%. Before I started fixing the article, the scores were hovering near 60%.
While I was simultaneously doing my part in obtaining authoritative backlinks for the post, I've a strong feeling the improvements made to the post via WebTextTool's predictive optimization tips played a massive part in improving its SEO visibility.
As you can see above, the post currently ranks above Moz's blog post on the same topic.
And here's a report I pulled from Google Analytics where I compare the organic traffic stats for the post from Nov 1, 2018 - Jan 31, 2019 to organic stats from Aug 1, 2018 - Oct 31, 2018.
As you can see, the results are astounding:
- 71.37% increase in users
- 64.44% increase in sessions
- 74.90% increase in new users
All thanks to WebTextTool.
WebTextTool Review and Walkthrough [Video]
Recently, when AppSumo announced a lifetime access deal on WebTextTool, I thought it was the right time to do an in-depth walkthrough of it to show the tool's key features and functionalities to other SEOs and marketers out there who are looking for a reliable, yet affordable SEO tool.
Since I've been doing at least two AppSumo reviews and walkthroughs each month, I thought I'd do a walkthrough of a tool which has really helped me improve my SEO in the last few months.
Click here to watch the video review and walkthrough of WebTexTool on YouTube, where I highlight some of the tool's best features and talk about what's included in the WebTextTool AppSumo deal. I also explain the key benefits of using WebTextTool — from the tool's ability to drastically improve the readability of your content to offering keyword suggestions to boost your SEO.
