Sepp Blatter, a former president of Fifa, says it was a mistake to awarded Qatar the responsibility to host the 2022 World Cup.
Quite some time ago, Qatar was given an opportunity to host the competition in spite of the US by a vote of 14-8 cast by Fifa's executive council, while Russia was awarded the 2018 event.
Blatter claims that he voted in favour of the US and blames Michel Platini, the former president of UEFA, for pushing the vote in favour of Qatar.
