Serendip, is where the three princes
found a lost camel unseen before,
could this old tale be true?
or is it just a folklore.
And so was coined Serendipity,
to tell of sagacious men,
that relate diverse facts, to discover
treasures with their acumen.
Facts and figures I notice,
often occupy my mind,
Some observed and some taught,
some simple or of abstract kind.
These facts I memorize and recall,
not knowing always why I do,
sometimes an audience I will enthrall,
or just occupy my mind too.
But memory itself doesn't count,
As real talent often lies,
in learning to arrange them thoughts,
On the landscape of the inner eye.
Then conversations ensue,
and people find you to be so wise,
humorous and a conversationalist,
as you tell them concepts you surmise.
But I truly know in my heart,
all that makes them think you're witty,
is the manifestation of that magic of life,
called serendipity.
