One of my favorites shows at the moment is Designated Survivor and I can't wait for season two to come out!
The notorious Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland) returns soon enough! Only one year after the release of season one, season two comes out with high expectations : we were hooked right into the action only about twenty minutes into the first episode. Will season two be able to meet our thirst for captivating pseudo ‘politicalyptic’ drama?
ABC president Channing Dungey said that “One of the things we realized is it is a very high-concept show, and we had to get the audience past that concept and get [Kiefer Sutherland’s Tom] Kirkman into the White House and all the rest of it, and as much as we love the twists and turns and the cliffhangers, what we’re really looking forward to exploring in Season 2 is some of the character relationships and some of the interpersonal dynamics in the White House.”
From what we hear there, I do hope that the series won’t turn out to be another masculine version of Madam Secretary (which has my high praises, but for different reasons). Most fans hope to be closer on the spectrum to a mix between House of Cards and 24, which has caught the audience by the followed suspensful story mixed with intrigues, action, but mostly a possible scenario of the big ‘What if that happened?’
The 7.67 million people who watched on DVR (according to the statistic) the pilot surpassed all expectations in terms of viewership, which already gives us hope for a season three if this one doesn’t turn out to be a disappointment.
According to the ABC website, Tom Kirkman, our beloved president will have to guide the government against attacks orchestrated by a certain Patrick Lloyd. Who is this Patrick Lloyd? We remember him from season one as the villain plotting for new world order with the cult he gathered, the possible hiring of Nestor Lozano, the hitman, and mostly for being the EX-CEO of Browning Reed, the defence company with government contracts who owns the land of this cult, and stored the explosives in the silo.
Patrick Lloyd, our main evil protagonist ?
You can find more information about him on the designated survivor wiki which has a wealth of information about the series.
Let’s face it, I will be on edge on the 27th until I’ll be able to start watching the show! Not as much as for Game of Thrones, but not far… not so far!

I am the author of this article... My thoughts on the series are indeed shared below towards the fact that I want an actual series that follows up on every episode and not a show with 'new intrigue solved every episode'. I also added where the quotes came from and what website.
Edit : that blog you linked is mine and my writing. Sharing such articles on different websites (as long as they are the author) are done by other people here and I believe not seen as plagiarism?
