My alcoholism week is slowly getting to the end. It was our psychology addict, @abigail-dantes, who invited me to take part in this. Since St Patrick's day is just round the corner, I thought I should try an Irish stout and have a photoshoot worthy of the beer's name :P

Sorry, no laprechaun, but I had a smurf. Does it matter that it's blue? :P

Murphy's Irish Stout has been brewed from the iconic Lady’s Well Brewery (Cork) since 1856. The official site (murphys.com) describes it as: "an Irish Dry Stout, Murphy’s is dark in color and medium-bodied. It is silky smooth with toffee & coffee undertones, almost no bitterness, and an irresistible creamy finish."

 At a 4% vol, Murphy's is light and goes down easily.

Did I like it? It was kind of watery. I felt the coffee in it, but it accompanied my spaghetti bolognese with feta cheese quite well.

Am I going to drink it again? I don't think so. It left a stingy bitterness on my tongue.

How much did it cost? 2.2 euros in the supermarket (quite pricey).
