Hello Steem people 😀!!! 

Wow, I can't believe how fast the days have gone by; and I am already in day #5 of the 7 day challenge of Black and White Photography!! 

Today, instead of some more pieces from my old notebook, I have a little story that I am sure you will enjoy 😉!!! 

The ones of you that follow me for some time now and read my posts, I am certain you remember when I referred to my trips with my uncle when he was the Captain of the Pilots; Guiding small boats, big boats and big luxury yachts in and out of the Corinth Canal!  

So one day, many many years ago, while on his shift, he was called to pass a beautiful big yacht, that soon enough, he realised it was  Yiannis Latsis -  multi-billionaire tycoon - boat "Alexandros"!! 

To his BIG surprise, Yiannis Latsis or Barba Yiannis as everybody used to call him, was there waiting for him! 

Usually something like that wouldn't happen, his stuff, would deal with the fair taxes for their passage through the Canal; But he was there and he was in a mood for chatting!  Barba Yannis wanted to know things about my uncle, his work, his family and so on. 

So after they spoke for a while and my uncle was ready to disembark from the yacht, Mr.Latsis asked him: "On your way up to the boat; did you count the steps?" And he continued: "If you give me the correct answer with the number of the steps, you will leave from here with $30.000,00 in your pocket" !!!!!!!!!!! 

My uncle felt like a thunder had struck him!! That was back in 1982, if you do your research, you will find, what that amount is equivalent today!!! 

Thankfully for my uncle, he was always good with numbers and he always paid the proper attention to details! 

As for Mr. Latsis, his personal belief was that: Paying the proper attention to detail, is a skill rare to be found and therefore highly rewarded! 

What is your opinion on that? Do you agreee with Mr. Latsis? 

So for today I choose a Beautiul Black & White picture with the Pilot guiding through the Corinth Canal, a gas boat, a luxury yacht and some sailing boats!  😀
