Gorgeous! Is that metal or wood?

That is metal with wrought-iron gate. I had never seen made of wood gates here.

Maybe wood is not so common there.

Yes, true because of the weather, it's so hot. Wood needs more maintenance unlike metal less maintenance and long life. You can find different designs on villas of locals.

That explains it.
