Sewing-Retro Fabric Glasses Case

in sewing •  8 years ago

This video shows how to make a fabric glasses case. The denim & daisies I use for the case in this demonstration came from the thrift store. I have no way of knowing how old it is, but the daisy pattern looks very retro to me. The other two cases that are shown in the video were made with scraps from my late grandmother's quilting stash. She passed away in 1993. I think most of that fabric is from the late 70's to early 80's when she was doing most of her quilt making.

great tutorial and I am so happy to see sewing tutorials here! I'm a big fan of sewing and hope to create some tutorials soon to share here on steemit as well.

i hope it ok, just wanted to make a quick recommendation that when you create the videos, for the parts where you are not explaining something - maybe run the speed of the video up. you'll get a shorter video and I think ppl have a short attention span these days so short is good :)

great post!

Thanks, Tully! I did think of that. I have a few other crafty tutorials posted and some of them are sped up a lot. With this one, I didn't think it would help as much. I could have shaved off a few seconds by speeding up the cutting part, but I don't think it would have made much of a difference. What parts did you think were dragging?

I tried to view it again to be more specific but I'm getting an error 😕
I think it was mostly the cutting and any place you weren't talking- viewing you work and cut in fast pace is better for me personally- but it might just be me 🙂
