What makes the Dodil so unique is that it is a mouldable dildo. Yes, you read that right: this is a DIY dildo. The Dodil has a hard inner core and a firm silicone outer layer which can be softened when heated up. The way it works is that you put the dildo in the cute thermos it comes with, pour boiling water on it and wait up to 30 minutes or until you think the silicone is soft enough to mould. I waited the full 30 minutes the first time I shaped my Dodil and that was a bit too long as it took forever to shape the thing.
Shaping the Dodil takes a bit of practice. The first time I did it, it took forever and I was left with a slightly misshapen dildo. The second time I wisely used the string provided and it gave me great pleasure to bind up my dildo. Bondage for dildos! It looked very cute all bound up and it kept my hands free so I could let the silicone set without having to hold the Dodil the whole time.

So what's the downside? It takes time to shape your Dodil. It needs to be heated up before you can shape it which takes 10-20 minutes depending how much you want to change the shape it is currently in. Then you need to shape it and then you need to let it cool down. It takes me about 45 minutes to reshape my Dodil. So keep that in mind when you want to use you dildo. I find I have to shape mine the day before, because by the time the kids are in bed and I have shaped my Dodil, it's too late to use it.
The other good thing about the Dodil is that it is made of body safe silicone, so you don't have to worry about toxicity. And as it comes in its own thermos, it is very environmentally friendly as it doesn't use any packaging.
