Last year, writer Emily McCombs shared her experience of going to a “vagina spa” with Elite Daily readers.McCombs said that when she took the decision to go to the VSPOT MediSpa she had already given up on trying to have a “smooth, plasticized Barbie crotch” and had just gotten into the habit of keeping “things sort of tidy” when she didn’t feel “too lazy.”She said she sat up and took notice of what was being advertised as a “vagina spa,” however, because not only did it sound like a treat similar to a manicure, but the shop founded by Cindy Barshop of “The Real Housewives of New York City” appeared to focus on empowering women with non-surgical procedures for the vagina.
What it’s like to go to a “vagina spa.” Last year, writer Emily McCombs shared her experience of going to a “vagina spa” with Elite Daily readers. McCombs said she didn’t go to the VSPOT MediSpa because she was obsessed with creating a “smooth plasticized Barbie crotch.”
All about empowering women. The writer says that the VSPOT MediSpa sounded like it offered the equivalent of manicures but for vaginas. She said she also got the impression that the shop, which was founded by “The Real Housewives of New York City”’s Cindy Barshop, was focused on empowering women through the services they offered.
Intimacy is important. McCombs spoke to VSPOT MediSpa’s gynecologist, Dr. Carolyn A DeLucia, who said that the services offered at the “vagina spa” are geared towards returning function, but also helping women to feel comfortable in their everyday lives. “Intimacy,” says DeLucia, “is an important part” of “being comfortable in our everyday lives.”
Treatments help with incontinence. The women who attend the “vagina spa” are from all different walks of life, DeLucia tells McCombs. They include young women with urinary incontinence issues, as well as, new moms who have lost the elasticity in their vaginas to childbirth.

She could get a vagina steam. McCombs said that she was challenged to choose among VSPOT MediSpa’s many services. On the list were services like a “vagina steam,” touted as a way to “cleanse, tone, and nourish the cervix, uterus and vaginal tissues,” and the “V-Lift,” which promised to “plump and smooth wrinkles” in the vagina.
“The O-Shot.” McCombs says that she opted for something called “The O-Shot.” “A simple procedure” in which “your own blood plasma” is injected into your vagina, the “O-Shot,” is supposed to “enhance sexual pleasure.”
Plasma is injected into the clitoris and G-spot. The same process that is used in the Vampire Facial approved by the Kardashians, “The O-shot,” isolates “plasma-rich platelets from the blood.” They are then injected into the clitoris and G-spot where growth hormones then rejuvenate the vagina.
It makes the vagina look younger. Not only is “The O-shot” supposed to make the vagina look younger, it also treats conditions like “incontinence, looseness, dryness, and lack of sensation.” The O in “O-shot” stands for orgasm, says DeLucia.
Some women lose sensation after menopause. According to DeLucia, many women lose sensation after menopause. “Sexual touch can feel like someone’s rubbing your forehead,” she tells McCombs. “The O-shot” brings all the sensation back, she says, “and then some.”
Anti-depressants had numbed sensation in her vagina. McCombs, who takes anti-depressants, writes that although she isn’t menopausal, she believes the meds may have numbed out some of the sensation in her vaginal area. She thought that there was no hope until she spoke to Dr. Delucia and decided to get “The O-shot” despite her anxiety and needing to sign a disclaimer that she understood that there was a risk of “constant vaginal wetness.”
The shot was completely painless. The process included DeLucia taking McCombs’ blood and then applying a topical cream to her clitoris and the inside of her vagina. McCombs said she then needed to wait for 20 minutes while her blood was centrifuged and her “vagina went numb.” She says she felt like she was at the dentist, but for vaginas! McCombs says that by the time DeLucia gave her several injections of Lidocaine to numb the area further, she could feel nothing at all. She says the actual “O-shot” was “completely painless.”
Doctor says the injection is like “a gift.” According to McCombs, DeLucia “gushed gleefully” as she injected her in the clitoris, saying that she enjoyed doing the procedure every time because she believes it is such “a gift.” McCombs says that the injection in her G-spot felt like a regular gynecological exam and all she could feel were the doctor's fingers.
It was “psychologically unsettling.” McCombs says however that she found the procedure “psychologically unsettling,” especially when she thought about the fact that she had injected her “most tender parts,” She says she also felt woozy when she “saw blood on the doctor’s paper.”
Orgasms got “stronger and better.” McCombs says that she didn’t feel much in the first few days after the injection and didn’t feel like having intercourse right away. She says, however, that 3 weeks after the procedure things took a decisive turn. It became much easier to reach climax, she says, and found that she was even “more quickly aroused.” After that “orgasms just seemed to get stronger and better,” and seemed to last for minutes although it was, of course, only seconds!
Treatment has increased her sexual satisfaction. McCombs’ fiancee told her that her vagina was a lot tighter after the injection and says McCombs she felt that she felt that she was “revirginized” when she went without sex for a few days. “The O-Shot” usually costs $1200-$1500 but says McCombs it definitely increased sexual satisfaction and the sex lives of both her and her partner.
Nice one.
