Yesterday while I was writing this publication, a friend of mine came in to see me writing, he was very surprised.

"Do women fake orgasm"? He asked.

I said YES. At that very moment he had series of epiphanies. He started recounting his sexual experience to me. At the beginning of his relationship, his spouse would commend him during sex and after an intense orgasm, she'd say:

"Max (not his real name), you're a real man, nobody has ever done the things you do to my body, you're the best, I love you". At those moments his ego soars, he said. Over time his ego became bloated.

But recently he observed that when having sex with her, she doesn't produce the beautiful soundtracks to show that she is enjoying what he's doing. Anytime in the act he asked her if she no longer enjoyed sex with him, she'd say she does, and at that very moment, she'd start screaming and moaning: "oh yes! oh yes!" And shout, "I'm cuming." The rest is history.

As I was writing, it just dawned on him that she had been faking it all along. His bloated ego was was punctured at this sudden realization. "But why? Why was she faking it?" He asked.

Like Max, a lot of men are oblivious as to why women pretend to enjoy sex and have orgasm. As a woman, I have sampled opinions and from my personal experience, I'm going to share with you the different reasons why women fake it.

Why do women fake orgasm?

1. Tiredness and Stress

Women are not sexually built like their male counterparts. Before a woman indulge in sex, she has to be mentally and emotionally ready. If she's not, then she won't enjoy the sex. Most times she feels obligated to give her spouse sex, whether she's in the mood or not, so when he comes asking, she allows him. She then tries to fake it; she's enjoying it all the way through but she really isn't. All these she does so as not to make him feel less of a man.

2. You're not doing it right

Most guys feel they know it all when it comes to pleasuring a woman. The sad truth is that one thing doesn't work for all women. What made Joey scream, wouldn't do much for Rosie. You may be working hard, pumping in and out like a machine, but to her, you're aren't doing anything. During sex with her, her mind may wander to the cab driver that wouldn't just stop talking or the discussion she had with her mother last week. So, you don't feel emasculated, she would moan down the house. Haven successfully stroked you ego, you'd start feeling like a boss.
