      I could see the similarities between the young Dominique and Cherine - and thought that very well might be something to rear it's head down the road as Cherine grows up. Unrequited love ... reversed. Very well done story; I enjoyed reading it, and look forward to delving into more of your writing!

        Thank you. All the rest comes under the category, of Fantasy (as is explained of the first story I have posted. If I am to judge by your story, I think you enjoy fantasy stories, so maybe the warning was not needed).
