This is my first entry ever in "Steemits Got Talent" by @bambam808.
This was a piece of art I made a few months ago, so I'm glad one entry can be a previous post because I'm not sure how much time I have right now to make a whole new one! (so many contests on steemit!)

thanks man! I hope to do more like it sometime in the future, right now I have a pretty long list of stuff to get done for the holiday season :) Eventually I will be making some art for steempunk, even if it is just for me to look at :) I'm gonna need to "see" my character!

Awesome!! The process shots are great, but I do admit that the time-lapse videos of it would be better. In any case, it's just great to have a backstage look at the process. The birds, man, I am simply in awe of them. I'm completely lost for words. Those are some of the best watercolor birds I've seen in recent memory. Makes me all the more excited for your Learn series. I really like the divide between the pencils and the watercolors. Way to flex your artistic muscle, buddy!

Thanks man. I agree, I really want to do time lapse videos; the only problem is I have a crappy camera and my art room has terrible lighting, I think I can work around the lighting eventually and I can make do with the camera; it just won't look quite as good as I would like - but I'd rather do it than not do it at all.
I really appreciate the compliments! Believe it or not the lower half is actually oil Paint and a little charcoal, but mostly oil actually. I use a technique called "dry brush" which I will be making a video for, but it's one of my favorite ways to do art! I also love the contrast between the two, I plan on doing a whole "abstract hair series" kind of like this - so there is definitely more to come!
Appreciate the resteem! When things slow down for me a bit (after Holiday season) you should give me a photo and I can make some art out of it.

I feel like it would be a great investment, especially with the new Learn series. You could use the earnings from that to pay it off. I'm sure that it'll boost the videos immensely.
Oil paint and charcoal?? Wow! That really fooled me! I thought you used pencils for it! Looking forward to learning about it!
Oh that gives me a great idea! We could do a mini collab of me giving you a photo, which you'll turn to art, which I'll turn to a short story or poetry, then we could iterate from there haha!

well....I just replied to a different comment about a graphic novel type thing :) sort of the same idea. That being said, why limit ourselves? Yeah, we can def do this collab too, however it will end up looking. :) I look forward to it, it'll have to be after Christmas season, I have a queue of art I have to get done for the holiday....sigh
