Shabby Chic (not so shabby though)

I love sanding back an old find in a second hand shop and getting it back to something that fits into a modern home.

So as much as I like the phrase "SHABBY CHIC" I do not like distressing my love painted surface and refuse to :)

Anyway I bought this little piece

It must have been joined to a desk or similar. It actually smells inside drawer of school hahaa as was a bit rough but is lovely wood and really heavy and good quality, lovely dove tail joinery too.

So sanded it back, made my own chalk paint and got on with painting it, taking care to mask off where I didn't want to paint.

Changed mind on the antique white so went with the muted green instead, added my chosen decoupage rice paper detail, varnished and here is my new cute chest of drawers, only £10 total cost including the drawers! bargain.

Thanks for reading, if you like doing this please write a post and add follow me/vote me and I will enjoy your projects and might get a new inspiration too :)
