Yes this last few days really set us back as you can imagine.. We are getting things back on track ASAP! Thank you all for understanding! There is 900 things to do every week without this HF insanity that we have dealt with the last few days. We are now looking to get back to full functionality and will ensure everyone who is owed a rank upgrade gets it!
Yes we are very concerned now with who we vote for witnesses! They are the ones who control the network so we want to ensure we only pick the best real steemians for the job!

Just keep us informed when it will happen and how many ranks which user gained through which bonus post, so we get full transparency.

A few are but that is not a requirement for our decision process. We look to find those who have the technical know how and resources and time to actually support the network properly.
A big factor for us is how they treat the community as well. Witnesses that provide services, especially that help minnows and new members are something we look for! Without the minnows and new members, Steem will die!

If everyone were to actually proxy there votes OR use them it could begin to matter. Most people waste their witness votes and there for a small group control the majority of votes. But we believe that can be fixed by properly vetting witnesses we choose to support and ensuring more people either proxy their vote to us OR vet their witness selections properly. If you simply do not vote what do you have to loose setting us as your witness proxy? We are vetting every witness each week and ensuring they support the network properly. We completely understand and agree it is very skewed right now toward a small group but there is nothing stopping a large amount of us from banding together and actually deciding the votes properly as the system intended. We NEED to use our votes or we are wasting them..
