The cats of Ulthar by H.P Lovecraft. In the village of Ulthar there lived an elderly couple who were dedicated to assassinate all the cats that dared to enter their property. One day an orphaned boy named Menes came to the village who had lost his parents by the plague and his only company was that of a black kitten but one day it disappeared and it was believed that it had fallen into the hands of the sadistic peasants. Menes implored a prayer in a language that only he knew, the clouds changed and all the cats of the village disappeared. A neighbor said he saw all the cats going to the peasants' house. The next day, all the cats of the village returned to their homes and began to miss the two peasants kill cats. When they went to look for them they only found two skeletons, without a pinch of meat ... Had the cats taken their revenge? Since then, the Ulthar is forbidden by law to kill a cat.
Cats are subject to gum disease and to dental caries. They should have their teeth cleaned by the vet or the cat dentist once a year.
