Hello Shadow Hunters. We are beginning a new hunt this week! Last week saw a lot of fantastic prize catches and will definitely be a difficult act to follow. But I know we all try to hunt better shadows and I am sure we will all do better this week. This Shadow Hunt is made possible through the intiative of the indefatigable @melinda010100 and if you would like to know more about this just check on the link here. Also I would like to acknowledge our very talented and gracious judge @annephilbrick and all the other sponsors of this Contest - @good-karma at @ecency, @oks2crypto, @pixresteemer, @silversaver888, @taskmanager and #archon.
That being said, here now are my shadow catches for this week together with some quotes that I think represent what my interpretation of the shadow photos are.
In life have a friend who is both a mirror and a shadow. A mirror doesn't lie and a shadow never leaves. Author Unknown
Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still. Chinese Proverbs
This long branch is a bougainvillea from my wife's garden. The plant is one of her bonsai projects. But I noticed that despite its condition, it grows quite well and as can be seen in the photos above seems to be stretching out far beyond its home. It's as if it is reaching out to some other plants to bring cheer and companionship. In the photo below, I caught him trying to reach out to the withering rose as if to comfort her as she nears the end of her life. Made me think of this quote which I came across recently:
Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value." - Albert Einstein
I had a hard time again trying to determine which photo to enter in the hunt. My preference is the third picture but my daughter insists on the first one. So it is the first photo then as my entry to this Shadow Hunt.
That's it for this week's edition of my Shadow Hunt. Hope you enjoyed it. Let me take this opportunity to wish you all a blessed Sunday and a big big good luck to your hunt this week.
