Dove Shadow - Shadow Photo Contest - Round 75

This is kind of a last minute entry for Melinda's shadow photo contest. This week's theme is bird shadow, which is pretty difficult for me as birds are not very easy to photograph.

I knew I have some bird photos but wasn't sure there's a shadow on those photos but I was lucky, here it is, a cute dove and its shadow.

Unfortunately these birds have a difficult life in cities. Doves are pretty common in cities, sometimes people are feeding them or they are picking up food dropped by people.

There are a lot of jackdaws in my area as it has a lot of green space and birds can only exists where there are green spaces. They are noisy, I admit that but that's part of their life. Sometimes during summer I wake up at 5 am because of the birds. I'm not always happy about it but not angry either as I know they are very useful and part of a normal life if you prefer this kind of natural normal over the concrete world that you can find in big cities.

Unfortunately people think these birds have no place here in the neighborhood. Last year there was a petition addressed to the city, asking to do something with the birds because they are making a mess. I don't know what's happened with the petition but the birds are still here, waking me up each morning and I hope this won't change 🙂
