Finally, I presented my Ice Breaker speech in my Toastmasters Club. It's my 2nd Ice Breaker project because of the change to the new Pathway program.
It's been delayed for months due to various reasons which are too many to dwell into. Yeah, so much for productivity. It was a spur of the moment decision. No one was available to present a speech and, personally it wouldn't feel like a Toastmasters meeting without at least 1 speech. I had to step in and step up.
I'm really glad I did. Now I can check it off my list of things to do. As a result, I do feel more accomplished and motivated to continue on to the next project. I guess that's the thing with stuff we want to do. If we don't take that first step, we won't get anywhere.
At that very moment I decided ok I'll deliver the speech, a quote sprang onto my screen - "Don't think, just do it". How apt and timely.
