if base on minor changes that happen on the banknote , this banknote is consider the 12th Series . however BNM call it 4th because BNM is base on the overall design changes .
A few thing to take note is this collection the only special is all the banknote have the same prefix and serial number . Only the RM50 is prefix AAA instead of AA because it was release 5 years earlier to commemorative Malaysia 50th independence .
