We as human always strife for power that so often relate to feel great when we already achieve it. Seeking it from other people as we are a social creature that need a validation from others as social hierarchy increased by power. It can happen in simple way in everyday life; when someone got elected as a leader or get an "A" grade in the class or got a job promotion into higher position.

While there's nothing wrong with that feeling but how we interpret it made a difference; sometimes when we rise in power, do realize that some other factors like lucks, friends, family, colleague do support in pursuit for achievement but sometimes, someone doesnt recognize all others factor behind every pursuit in power. that's is one of the grandiose's trait, their believe achievement that he/she made in life is purely because all his/her efforts.

Grandiose is the person that doesnt do self assestment and overconfident for everything they done. They always perceived that "everything i do is always right". they dont identify to any people that try to help them and if someone do help them.. it perceived that people help the grandiose people as "they need me". in pursuit of power, often Grandiosity person didnt know limit due it's always over estimated and feeling invulnerable as they often underestimate for those who disagree with them.

** How Daedalus & Icarus Story Related to Grandiosity **

It's always devastating to not knowing the limit in pursuit in power. and there always a consequence for those doesnt recognize someone advice/input for consideration. In the story of Daedalus & Icarus, Feels invulnerable as there's nothing can harm him while escape from Crete. when he look on the ground, he felt like a god and as they fly over Aegean Sea, Feeling so exited to be the first man that can fly, Icarus defying his father advice and he tried to push over the limit as he flying toward the sun. Daedalus cried and warn him but Icarus didnt listen and keep fly upward. Icarus's wings got melted because it's made from the wax and begin to fall down to the sea.. Daedalus cannot do anything beside watching his overconfidence-self as his son also have, Icarus drown into that later called Icarian Sea until present day.

The moral :
There's nothing wrong in pursuit of power than can contribute into society. Recognize positive/negative input always have beneficial for your cause. Always knowing that every success in life always have some your ally contribute in your pursuit of power. Know your own limit power is crucial as known yourself. in such a ways, you can prolonged the longevity of your own kingdom's of everlasting power that you already collected during lifetime.

“He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.”
