Well centered Electron Microscope Tungsten filament.

in share2steem •  5 years ago  (edited)

A well centered Tungsten filament sitting just below a Platinum aperture in the Wehnelt Cylinder. In the second picture you can see the filament alone, and the tip of the wire "loop" is the small shiny spot you see in the center of the ~0.100 mm hole in picture one. Preferably a dissecting scope is used to do this, as I did this time, but I have done it with a monocle. #share2steem #science #steemstem #electronmicroscope #microscope #tem #platinum #tungsten
