What’s the difference between Shark Navigator and Rotator?

If you are a Shark lover and you love a clean house, you must have heard about the Shark Navigator and the Shark Rotator. People, over there are seen confused in picking up anyone from them. There are also buyers who think that Shark Rotator and Navigator are the same products and are called by different names only. A lot of confusion, right!
Alright, so, we are here to get you out of the dilemma and take you to a conclusion for what to buy and what not! Let’s pick one up!

Shark Navigator vs. Shark Rotator

Design Differences:

The body structure of Shark Rotator and Shark Navigator are very much identical. These cleaners are basically full-sized and both of them include a cleaning head which is very wide. The cord wrap and the large dirt-bin are also included in both of the cleaners by Shark.

Weight:

You can use both of these models as handheld cleaners along with upright vacuum cleaners. The weights of the cleaners are different. If you use the cleaners in the upright model, the weight of the Navigator will be 13.7 pounds where the weight of the Rotator will be 15.5 pounds. In the handheld canister model, the Navigator weighs 8 pounds where the Rotator weights 8.4 pounds. So, we can say that the Navigator is lightweight than the Rotator by Shark.

Parts:

You get versatile assembly options for both of these Shark cleaners. You can divide both of these cleaners into four parts named as Cleaning head, attachments, upright wand, and canister. Both of the cleaners have added two cleaning heads.
You also get two brush roll, one for cleaning hard surfaces and the other for cleaning the carpeted floor. The sizes of the dirt-bins of the cleaners are different. The Navigator has a bin of 2.2 quarts and the bin of the Rotator is of 1.3 quarts. So, Navigator can hold more dust than the Rotator.

Accessories and Details -
Navigator is a basic model when you compare it to the Rotator. You will get brush roll indicator light with the Rotator cleaner by Shark. The LED headlights are the plus point of the Shark Rotator cleaner. You do not get these facilities with the Navigator model.
The modern color scheme you get with the Rotator is also absent in the Navigator. When it comes to Accessories, we can bet that the Rotator has more advanced accessories than the Navigator.

Performance -
Both of these cleaners are great in terms of quality performance. The Navigator along with the Rotator has great suction and brush roll facility. You also get different cleaning heads so that you find it easy to clean hard floor.
Though both of the cleaners include two cleaning heads, the design of the head varies. One cleaning head is for cleaning the hard surface where the other is for cleaning the carpets. When it comes to cleaning the hardwood, the cleaning head of the Navigator is sleeker and in white color. You get one microfiber had a wrap with this cleaner so that you can easily catch the dirt.
If you compare the Rotator with the Navigator, the head of the Rotator is colored in gray and it does not look good with the body of the cleaner. The design is not sleek and you do not get any cleaning headwrap with this.

Dimensional Differences -
If you compare the models of these two series, you will get to know that the models by Shark Rotator are taller than the Shark Navigator models. The depth of the Shark Rotator is also less than the Navigator cleaners. They are the same in width but as we said, the weight of the Navigator is less.

Noise Production -
Noise is an issue when you are using any cleaner inside your house. There are people who find the sound of the cleaners very annoying. If you are one of them then you should know about the noise production rate of these cleaners. We are explaining sound in terms of distance (meter.)
Both of these cleaners generate a little noise. If you are with the Navigator by Shark, you can hear 77 decibels of sound from 3 meters away. If you choose the Rotator series then from 3 meters away you can hear 80 decibels of noise. If compared strictly, Navigator is less noisy.

Maintenance -
When it is about maintenance, we would love to say that both of these cleaners are of the same maintenance. Both of these cleaners have equal numbers of filters. You get a central brush roll also. If you compare them in terms of maintenance then we can say that these cleaner have low maintenance costs.

Both of these cleaners are designed to stand with their great performance. There are some slight differences between the Shark Rotator and Navigator.
