I want to go into detail, but that would mean writing a book so i will keep it brief. * My son is my world.*

I have been on Steemit for 2 weeks. I want to introduce myself and my son and take you on a roller coaster of life.

Hi my name is Shayne, I am from New Zealand and lived there most my life. From from 2000 to 2011 i lived in Australia. In late 2009 my girlfriend from America (that i met through a 3d virtual world) came to visit me in Australia. She fell pregnant then returned to America.

In 2010 my son was born, but i was denied entry into America and was kept in custody and sent back to Australia because of visa issues etc., so i missed his birth. Was one of the saddest days of my life.

The moment i arrived back in Australia and immediatly began a new visa application with the U.S embassy and was granted entry 2 months later for a short visit.

There is something special about holding your child for the first time. Something that only a parent can experience

I returned back to Australia not really knowing how the future would turn out, but one thing i new for sure was i had to be with my son. I dove deep into my work trying to keep as busy as possible to avoid thinking about missing him, but it didn't work. Everyday was a struggle. Once a week i would get to see him on skype, but as the weeks past the bond was broken.

Finally just before Jayden's 1st Birthday, Wendy (mum) gave me amazing news that she was able to bring him to Australia for a visit. The plan was to stay in Australia for 1 week then take Jayden to meet his New Zealand family for 2 weeks

If you have ever spent time away from your kids you know the feeling when you get to see them again. I was so happy to have him with me. I felt complete again . Everday was a new experience not only Jayden but also for me as a new father.

After 1 week of bonding we travelled to Aotearoa (New Zealand) so Jayden could meet his New Zealand family and breath some beautiful New Zealand air. Father and son were bonding once again.

We are blind to how strong a parents love is for there children until we have children of our own ~~cryptoiskey

Two weeks then Jayden would be going back to America and i had to go back to australia. Time is precious lets make the most of it. We spent the next 2 weeks trekking, beaching mixed in with a few bush walks. We also visited The movie set for the Hobbit, as it was only 45 minutes from my parents house. Rainbow and fairy springs (Rotorua) are also great for kids so we made sure Jayden got his fair share of animal pats

McLarens Falls Park - Bay of Plenty ,NZ

Mt Maunganui - Bay of Plenty ,NZ

Hobbiton Movie Set - Matamata ,NZ

Sadly every trip comes to an end...

We spent a beautiful 3 weeks together in Australia and New Zealand, but it had to come to an end. Jayden and his mom headed back to America and i stayed in New Zealand for 1 more week then went back to Australia.

The next stage of trying to be with my son was just beginning.

Sad that the the borders we don't build for ourselves become obstacles like this. I am so glad you are able to spend some time with your son and hope a permanent solution finds you all

Thanks....this was the beginning of this journey.. he is 6 now:)..hence why i put (part1) in the description. I am sure many others have been similar
situations where they have met from opposite sides of the world and coming together becomes a huge struggle

It was the accent that won her over wasn't it?

Really a shame this is valued at 1/155,000 of a makeup tutorial.

Yeah i think it was,lol.......Yeah the makeup tutorial i guess had all the right dynamics at the time and so grabbed the attention of a few larger mammals:).....but sometimes it is more about getting out what you want to tell someone:)..so not really doing this for anything else except for whoever stumbles on it:)
