The Pride parade takes place every year in New York City, starting at 36th Street and Fifth Avenue and ending in the West Village near the historic Stonewall Inn. The march is an annual civil rights demonstration for the LGBTQ+ community. Over the years the pride parade has also become a place to recognize the fight against AIDS and to remember the individuals lost to illness and violence in the community.
