The lawman who once gloated he was "America's hardest sheriff," could end up in the slammer after a government judge discovered him liable of criminal hatred on Monday.

Previous Maricopa County, Arizona, Sheriff Joe Arpaio was blamed for damaging a court arrange in a racial profiling case by proceeding with watches focusing on migrants. US District Court Judge Susan Bolton passed on her decision in court papers marked on Monday.

"Her decision is in opposition to what each and every witness affirmed for the situation. Arpaio trusts that a jury would have found to support him, and that it will," the announcement said.
