Is This My Forrest Gump Moment? ~ #shithappens #loveistheanswer

If somehow, someway, you have never seen the movie Forrest Gump, there is a scene where Tom Hanks character (Forrest) decides to 'start runn-ang' (that's the best I can do to textually impersonate him saying it). He starts gathering crowds everywhere he goes, all while growing one of the most iconic beards ever known to man.

At one point while runn-ang through a town, a vehicle splashes him and gets him all muddy. A guy trying to get Forrest's opinion on his ideas, hands him a shirt to wipe his face off. What's left behind is a smiley face and Forrest replying with "Shit Happens". It's an instant hit.

Flash forward to my life. I swear I'm not that neighbor who never keeps up their yard. I swear, I'm not. But I did probably let my grass grow longer than I ever have before. You know when your mower keeps quitting on you because there is so much mulch holding up the blades, that you probably waited a little too long. No worries, it all got done and looks great.

When I got back inside after weed whipping and blowing, I couldn't help but notice my shirt in the mirror.

I instantly thought back to Forrest Gump, and shit happens. And now I'm about to get super corny on y'all. This sweat shaped heart spoke to me. Love. Love. Love. Gol darnit, just love people, people! Forgive and forget. Don't hold grudges, they end up holding you. Just love.

Maybe it was a sign, a sign telling me to love more. Or maybe it was a sign I need to tighten up my pecks a bit, lol. Regardless, I'm going to live my day today with as much love in my heart as possible. I encourage you all to do the same.
