But if you want a rumour or myth. Here is one for you.
In China, there is a story about the origin of Tea. It says that a dragon who ruled the China in ancient times is sleeping in one of the great mountains. His eyelashes were so huge that they spread across China. Eyelashes acted as fertilizers which gave birth to a plant. It was the TEA plant. It brought prosperity to the region when the ancient Chinese started trading it with the world. They still worship the Dragon.
