Sawan Shivratri is celebrated every year in the month of Savan(August month is called savan). It is believed that salvation in the month of Shravan, on the day of Shivratri, worship of Lord Shiva, and fasting, salvation is attained. Not only this, happiness and prosperity also come in life. Why is Savan Shivratri celebrated
Mahadev Shankar is considered the simplest of all the deities and they have not much to save in persuasion. God is pleased only by true devotion. Many stories are popular in relation to celebrating Savarna's Shivaratri. However, according to the most popular belief, Lord Shiva Ghatghat was poisoned during the ocean manthan. As a result, he suffered from negative energy. In the Treta era, Ravana took care of Shiva and he came with the holy water of Ganges using Kawnad. He offered Gangajal to Lord Shiva. In this way their negative energy was dispelled.
Worship method of Savan Shivratri
- After bathing on the day of Savannah Shivaratri, go to the temple or worship Shiva only in the temple of the house.
- After reaching the temple, offer Lord Panchavati and Nandi with Panchamrta water with Lord Shiva. Milk, curd, sugar, rice and Ganga form a Panchamrit with a mixture of water.

After this, show sun-light to Shivling. - Devotees should fast on the day of Savarna's Shivaratri. This day only fruit is made. As well as sour things should not be eaten. Wearing this black color on this day is considered taboo.
