Shop shots week 4. Tires, tires and a sweet old Firebird.

As expected here is week 4 in my automotive journeyperson blog. We are well into winter here in central Canada, so that means winter tires. Some people choose to pay a few extra dollars to get them studded, it's a tedious process but the end result is well worth it.

That's the stud gun, it puts in one at a time. Over and over and over and over and over....

Look at those fresh new studded tires on new wheels. Can you imagine anything better in life? I can't!

And look at this new set of gorgeous new wheels and tires. They're ready to be mounted on a Mercades E400.

Maybe next week I'll show some extreme studded tires.

Do you ever forget that your Honda has a Honda engine? Well not anymore, what a neat engine cover.

This is the inside of some German car's headlamp. Intelligent lights are going to take over the human race.

Talk about getting your money's worth! Look at those brake pads, they actually wore so far that the rotor was damaged and the brake caliper pistons came out and caused a complete loss of braking.
But 'the noise just started happening yesterday'. Right.

There is the new replacement brake pad for comparison.

What an end to an iconic Pontiac Firebird. This heap was towed in simply to remove the engine for the owner and then the shell was sent for scrap.
Someone bought that car brand new and loved it. They may have washed it every Saturday before going to the roller rink, and maybe even drove their pregnant wife to the hospital in it.
Now it's going to be toasters and pipes.
