The .22 Short, introduced in 1857, is one of the oldest and smallest rimfire cartridges still in production today!

Originally designed for the first-ever American cartridge revolver, the Smith & Wesson Model 1, it was widely used in pocket pistols and even early Olympic shooting events due to its low recoil and quiet report.
