A New Short Story- BLUE (Unpublished)

in shortstory •  7 years ago  (edited)

Next week I will be serialising one of the short stories I have been working on, for free, on my blogs.

This story is different because it is already written and falls under a theme I have been working hard to create.

The theme is COLOUR

The genre is SUPERNATURAL THRILLER

The title is BLUE

Here is a description.

BLUE

Tia is unstable, so she is told. Her home is beautifully organised, but her mind is not. She cannot distinguish what her dreams are trying to tell her, but she knows they are there for a reason, even if her therapist just focuses on the 'blue'.

Tia's every day lifestyle hosts a gentle shade of blue.  Like the furnishings in her house and the clothes she wears. Even her car. In her bed, her pyjamas match the bed sheets and she obsesses with the thought of disappearing into a blue abyss.

She chose her therapist, Clair Bloomsbury, because her second name had the blue sound to it, and her website was splashed with a light blue background. The only exception in her blue life was white, and that had to be minimal.

To her it was a sign. To her therapist, Tia was creating her own heaven to connect with her deceased husband.

The story unravels as Tia's dreams appear to become premonitions. Her therapist doesn't appear to understand her, and she is battling with her own mind.

This story is full of love, hope and awakenings; leaving you with some thought provoking questions.

BLUE
