This shot was taken near Tobermorey, ON on Dorkus Bay. I love that name. My Mother-in-Law lives on the rugged shore of Lake Huron. It's beautiful but all rock. I always take my trusty Kayak with me when we visit. I love it!
This is the type of rock I paddle over near shore. Seeing it through the water reminds me of what it might be like on the surface of the moon. This rock is also the reason that I treat paddling on Lake Huron with great caution.
I admit it, I love WAVES!! One day, down on Lake Erie, the waves were HUGE! I paddled out the mouth of the river so that I could come around the pier to play in the waves. BUT.....I was too cocky, not watching closely enough and one came down on the back of my yak sending me end over end! It was a spectacular sight, so the lady on the beach told me.....after she finished laughing.
I don't want to imagine how badly injured I could be if that happened on Lake Huron, over those rocks. The waves close to shore are the most brutal. But on the calmer days the paddling is superb.
This shot was taken with my old Olympus e-500.
if it looks like the craters of the moon very cute 😊

So glad that the "accident" didn't happen on Lake Huron; It would have been a different story. The rocks look spectacular though, I love the picture quality as well.
